Review (99 and 100)

This review brings you back to lessons 99 and 100, the declaration that salvation is your only function and that your role is essential. Lesson 99 is uncompromising: "Salvation is my only function here." Not one function among others, the ONLY function. Lesson 100 adds: "My role is essential to God’s plan for salvation." You are not replaceable. Without you, the plan is incomplete. Together, these two ideas give you a unique purpose and immeasurable worth.

"My function here is to forgive the world for all the errors I have made. For thus I am released with the whole world." This sentence sums up the entire Course in one idea. Forgiveness is not just for others, it is for you too. And "I am essential to God’s plan for the salvation of the world. For He has given me His plan so that I may save the world." Your role is not optional. You are the one chosen for this moment.

Revisions 111–114 have covered the foundations. Now, revision 115 is a call to take your place. Afterward, revisions 116–120 will address happiness (101–105) and the final contemplation (106–110). You are nearing the end of Part Two. The ideas reviewed today are the bridge between theory and daily life: salvation is your function, and you are essential.

Today, review in the morning and evening: "Salvation is my only function here" and "My role is essential to God’s plan for salvation." Every hour: "Salvation is my only function here." Every half-hour: "My role is essential to God’s plan for salvation." When you feel useless or lost, remember: you have a unique and essential function. You are not here by chance. You are here to save the world through your forgiveness.

You have one thing to do, and you are the only one who can do it. This is your place.
