Lesson 27

Those who understand the conditions of destiny devote no attention to things over which knowledge has no control.

Excerpt

Those who understand the conditions of life devote no attention to things which life cannot accomplish. Those who understand the conditions of destiny devote no attention to things over which knowledge has no control. For the due nourishment of our physical frames, certain things are needful. Yet where such things abound, the physical frame is not always nourished.

โœจ To meditate on today

According to Chuang Tzu, whoever has understood the meaning of life no longer wears himself out over what does not nourish it, and stops trying to pierce the mystery of destiny. Today, spot a worry over which you have no control, set it down, and give your energy to a simple act of care: a real meal, a walk, a real rest.
