Lesson 151

Virtue shall beautify you, Tao shall establish you, aimless as a new-born calf which recks not how it came into the world.

Excerpt

Keep your body under proper control, your gaze concentrated upon One,β€”and the peace of God will descend upon you. Keep back your knowledge, and concentrate your thoughts upon One,β€”and the Holy spirit shall abide within you. Virtue shall beautify you, Tao shall establish you, aimless as a new-born calf which recks not how it came into the world.

✨ To meditate on today

According to Chuang Tzu, a master teaches his disciple that if we order our life, gather our attention and calm our thoughts, the harmony of the universe comes to dwell in us and we abide in the Principle, simple as a newborn calf. Today, when your mind scatters, bring it back to one thing at a time, your breathing, your step or your work, and taste this simplicity.
