According to the Ethics of the Fathers, Jose ben Joezer advised opening one’s house to the wise, sitting humbly at their feet, in the dust, like a disciple, and drinking in their words with thirst. Today, truly listen to someone who inspires you, without interrupting, or invite into your home a person whose wisdom does you good.
