Observe that when men are worthy and keep the commandments of the doctrine, the earth is perfected, so that every kind of joy is found therein. And why is this so? Because the Shekhinah dwells upon the earth; and therefore all that is above and below is filled with joy.

According to the Zohar, when people live uprightly, the Shekhinah, God’s presence among humankind, dwells upon the earth and fills with joy all that is above and below. Today, pause for a moment before a simple thing that delights you and welcome it as a sign of this presence.
