Lesson 321

The spirits deprived of light shall shed great brightness.

Excerpt

And in this manner comes to pass the union of all spirits with the supreme Spirit; to this the words of Scripture allude: “Let Him kiss me with the kisses of His mouth.” These words of Scripture express the great, perfect, and eternal joy that all the worlds shall experience through their union with the supreme Spirit. The imperfect spirits shall become perfect through this union, and the spirits deprived of light shall shed great brightness by means of this union. And this whole union depends only upon the prayer of man.

✨ To meditate on today

According to the Zohar, the great book of Jewish mysticism, the “kiss” of the Song of Songs stands for the union of all beings with the supreme Spirit, that is, God: it makes perfect what was imperfect and bright what was dark, and it comes about through human prayer. Today, take a moment of prayer or silence to hold in your heart someone going through a dark time, and wish that they find their light again.
