Who waterest the mountains from Thine upper chambers; The earth is full of the fruit of Thy works. Who causeth the grass to spring up for the cattle, And herb for the service of man; To bring forth bread out of the earth, And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, Making the face brighter than oil, And bread that stayeth man's heart.

โจ To meditate on today
According to the psalmist, God waters the mountains and makes grass grow for the cattle and plants for people: wine that gladdens the heart, oil that makes the face shine and bread that gives strength all come from the earth He nourishes. Today, at mealtime, eat a mouthful of bread slowly and think of the journey it has made, from the rain to the field to your table.
