Lesson 190

The path of the righteous is like a shining light, which advances and grows until the perfect day.

Excerpt

Happy the lot of the righteous, for whom the Holy One, blessed be He, serves as a crown, and who, in turn, serve as a crown to the Holy One, blessed be He! Happy their lot in this world, and happy their lot in the world to come! Of them Scripture has said: “And all thy people are a people of the righteous; they shall possess the land for ever.” And elsewhere it is written: “And the path of the righteous is like a shining light, which advances and grows until the perfect day.”

✨ To meditate on today

According to the Zohar, the righteous and God — “the Holy One, blessed be He” — serve as a crown for one another, and the path of the righteous is a light that grows little by little until full day. Today, do one just and good act, however modest, and this evening look at the small light it has added to your day.
