Lesson 159

May his name endure for ever.

Excerpt

May he be as a rich cornfield in the land upon the top of the mountains; May his fruit rustle like Lebanon; And may they blossom out of the city like grass of the earth. May his name endure for ever; May his name be continued as long as the sun; May men also bless themselves by him; May all nations call him happy.

✨ To meditate on today

According to the psalmist, the people bless the just king by wishing him abundance — corn up to the mountain tops — and a name that endures for ever, for his kindness to the poor makes everyone happy. Today, speak a sincere blessing for someone who does good around them — a caregiver, a teacher, a neighbour — and, if you can, tell it to them directly.
