Lesson 154

Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty; they shall behold a land stretching afar.

Excerpt

He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; He that despiseth the gain of oppressions, That shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, That stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, And shutteth his eyes from looking upon evil; He shall dwell on high; His place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks; His bread shall be given, his waters shall be sure. Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty; they shall behold a land stretching afar.

โœจ To meditate on today

According to Isaiah, the one who walks righteously, speaks uprightly and turns his eyes from evil dwells as on the heights: he lacks neither bread nor water, and his gaze opens onto distant horizons. Today, speak a straight word where you might be tempted to bend the truth, then take a moment to look far away, toward the sky or the horizon.
