According to Rûmî in the Masnavi, a lover chased by a night patrol took refuge in a garden where he found his beloved again; he then blessed those harsh guards, for their harshness had led him to happiness. Today, think back on a past difficulty that finally led you toward something good, and bless it inwardly instead of cursing it.
