A madman in God, a wondrous thing, dwelt in a mountainous place, living night and day among the panthers. From time to time he fell into ecstasy, and his ecstatic state was communicated even to those who came to the place where he was. For twenty days he remained in this abnormal state; for twenty days he leapt and danced from morning till evening, and he would always say: “We two are one; we are not many, know this, O Thou who art all joy and no sorrow!”

✨ To meditate on today
According to Attar in the Mantic uttaïr, "The Conference of the Birds", this "madman in God" lives a joy so great that it spreads to all who come near him, for he knows he is one with God, the One who is all joy and no sorrow. Today, let a simple joy show on your face and in your voice, and share it with those you meet.
