According to Shabistari, a Persian Sufi poet, “I” and “you” are but the lattices of a lamp through which one and the same Light shines; when this veil is lifted, the barriers between sects and creeds disappear. Today, facing a person of another belief or another opinion than yours, look in them for the same light as in you, and offer them a kind word.
