Tukaram, Poem 3387

He on whom the wealth and wife of another
make no impression, he is not, even in
other directions, bound for a moment by the chain
of actions. This experience is attained by the
trusting soul; it sees the innermost truth laid bare
before it. Search out this conclusion, that all
fermented food is strong drink; though people
have distinguished degrees of poison, and called
some pure and some impure. Tuka says, Experience will show you what is really right in this
matter; how can you buy your advantage with
money?
Tuka says, I have suffered no obstacle to keep
me back; I have suffered no delay.
