Tukaram, Poem 3326

Gopi went alone into a forest without the
knowledge of her household. There was
no one with her; she was unconcerned for her
safety. When she had entered the impenetrable
forest, she was beset by beasts of prey. She saw
no path before her; an appalling fear came over
her. Those whom she had left behind were far
from her; there were obstacles ahead of her.
Then, says Tuka, she began to think upon Him who
dwells in the heart.
