Tukaram, Poem 3304

PERCHANCE, he has determined to amuse
himself with me; he hungers for adoration, he
sets us weeping. The mother hides herself and
mystifies the child; but she is never so cruel as to
leave him. Tuka says, She makes strange sounds
to frighten her baby, and then she caresses him.
