Tukaram, Poem 3303

A CHILD petitioning is never hopeless; his
mother is never unconcerned about him. Why
should I be so impatient in my soul? The Lord of the
senses knows my case. If sometimes he keeps me
waiting, it is all in sport; there is no want of mercy
in him. Tuka says, He knows what is best for
us; no doubt He has ordained our lot.
