Tukaram, Poem 3222

Our mouths should be saints themselves, our
senses religious ascetics; I know of nothing
else that is truly faith or devotion. These are the
only two divine songs; all others are sung merely
for amusement.
Tuka assumes a posture of the
mind, and sings God’s praises.
