Tukaram, Poem 2859

Now it is well to enjoy what is left us in our
homes. Good and evil do not pass before
our eyes; so no distress of mind is possible. Speech
multiplies speech,—fruitless chaff and vexation. If
we carry our entreaties to God, what he desires
from us is service. As long as we are struggling
to clear up accounts between us, we can neither go
forward nor backward. Tuka says, Now I have
found out that all is well as long as we do not feel
ourselves other than God.
