Tukaram, Poem 2453

Numberless are they who have entered life
and passed out of it; princes and peasants
have been born and died. Yet no created being
utters their name, whereas Him the Four and Six
proclaim. He dies not nor is moved; he errs
not nor fails. On Him, Narayana, our thoughts
we should fix. Thus, says Tuka, we shall escape
the pangs of birth and death.
