Tukaram, Poem 2364

Yama tells his messengers, they have no power
here. “Go not to that town nor to the
skirts of that town; the holy wheel flies round the
houses there. Hari stands at their door with his
wheel and mace; Lakshmi is their slave with all
her glories and powers. The worshippers of Hari
are a crest of power on the earth”—thus, says Tuka,
does Yama whisper in the ears of his messengers.
