Lesson 56

Intercourse with the good is attainable only by the blessing of Rama and without it wisdom is impossible.

Excerpt

Intercourse with the good is attainable only by the blessing of Rama and without it wisdom is impossible: it is the root of all joy and felicity; its flowers are good works and its fruit perfection. By it the wicked are reformed; as when by the touch of the philosopher's stone a vile metal becomes gold.

✨ To meditate on today

According to Tulsidas, the company of good people is a gift of Rama, the divine incarnation: it is the root of all joy, its flowers are good works and its fruit perfection, and it transforms even hardened hearts, as the philosopher’s stone turns metal into gold. Today, take the time to call, write to or meet a good person around you, and thank them for what they bring you.
