The lakes swell gradually and imperceptibly, like as when the quality of goodness develops in a good man; and the rivers flow into the bosom of the ocean, like as the soul, that has found Hari, is at rest for ever.

✨ To meditate on today
According to the Ramayana of Tulsidas, Rama, contemplating the rainy season with his brother Lakshman, compares the goodness that grows in a good person to lakes filling drop by drop, and the soul that has found Hari — God — to the river that comes to rest in the ocean. Today, do a small act of kindness without expecting any visible result: like rain in the lake, each one counts.
