Lesson 326

Unspeakable is the sweetness of Your name when Your praises are sung.

Excerpt

In the homes of us followers of Vishnu the happiness of love desires to rest; prosperity and accomplishment stand with folded hands at our doors. Grant me not to live in Vaikuntha, for that pleasure may pass away; but unspeakable is the sweetness of Your name when Your praises are sung.

โœจ To meditate on today

According to Tukaram, the poet-saint of Maharashtra, singing the name of God is a sweetness more precious than any paradise, even Vaikuntha, the heaven of Vishnu, whose pleasure may pass away. Today, hum or murmur a song, a prayer or a name that uplifts you, and taste its sweetness in the midst of your tasks.
