Lesson 171

Love is a gift of God.

Excerpt

Love is a gift of God, it ends the life of the senses; the purified mind forgets time and place. Free from all shame, from all worldly bonds, the happy worshippers of Hari overflow with praise of His name and fame. They have gained an everlasting gain; they have been born as worshippers of Hari; they will return to the womb no more, they will enjoy supreme bliss in the Highest Brahma.

โœจ To meditate on today

According to Tukaram, love is a gift of God: it calms the restlessness of the senses and makes time forgotten, and those who praise Hari, a name of God (Vishnu), taste a joy free of all shame, released from the cycle of rebirths and united with the Absolute. Today, take a few minutes to praise what you love in life, aloud or in song, and let this joy make you forget the time.
