Lesson 161

O my heart! let us go to that country where dwells the Beloved, the ravisher of my heart!

Excerpt

O my heart! let us go to that country where dwells the Beloved, the ravisher of my heart! There Love is filling her pitcher from the well, yet she has no rope wherewith to draw water; there the clouds do not cover the sky, yet the rain falls down in gentle showers: O bodiless one! do not sit on your doorstep; go forth and bathe yourself in that rain!

✨ To meditate on today

According to Kabîr, the heart is invited to set out for the country of the Beloved, God, where Love draws water without a rope and rain falls without clouds: there grace is given without effort. Today, go outside for a few minutes, under the sky or in the rain, and receive what comes as a free gift.
