Lesson 154

When one knows oneself then one finds the Name everywhere.

Excerpt

The all-pervading nature of the Name can only be understood when one recognises his own ‘I’. When one’s own name is not recognised, it is impossible to get all-pervading Name. When one knows oneself then one finds the Name everywhere.

✨ To meditate on today

According to the poet-saint Namdev, whose words Ramana Maharshi had read aloud, the divine Name, God Himself invoked by His name, is present everywhere, but one recognises it only by discovering who one truly is, that “I” deep within. Today, take a moment to ask yourself “Who am I?”, then look at the beings around you, remembering that the same Name is present in them.
