Lesson 149

The Infinite One loves him more than His own soul.

Excerpt

One may neglect the repetition of spells, austerities, meditation, and efforts at union, yet if he be merciful towards living creatures, then, says Tuka, be he learned or ignorant, the Infinite One loves him more than His own soul.

โœจ To meditate on today

According to Tukaram, even without rites, austerities or long meditations, whoever is compassionate toward living creatures is loved by God, the Infinite, more than His own soul. Today, make a concrete gesture of compassion toward a living being: a person, an animal, a plant you take care of.
