Love is not different from the Self. Love of an object is of an inferior order and cannot endure. Whereas the Self is Love, in other words, God is Love.

According to Ramana Maharshi, love for an object passes, but true Love is one with the Self, your deepest nature: God is Love. Today, when you feel affection for someone or something, notice the source of this love within you, vaster than whatever awakened it.
