Lesson 12

What other friend have I but Thee, O Panduranga?

Excerpt

What other friend have I but Thee, O Panduranga? I long to see Thy dwelling place; I count the days and nights on my fingers. I can take no pleasure in any employment. Tuka says, I am ever contemplating Thee.

โœจ To meditate on today

According to Tukaram, God, whom he calls Panduranga, the Lord worshipped at Pandharpur, is his only true friend: he counts the days until he finds Him again and contemplates Him ceaselessly, even at work. Today, in the midst of your activities, speak a simple word to Him two or three times, as to a very dear friend who is waiting for you.
