According to the Gospel of Luke, Zechariah sings of the mission of his son John: to prepare the ways of the Lord and to announce that the tender mercy of God visits us like the rising sun. Tomorrow morning, look at the first light of day and ask yourself how you can prepare, through a gesture of forgiveness or kindness, someone’s path toward peace.
