Lesson 358

Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all you that love her.

Excerpt

Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all you that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all you that mourn for her. That you may suck, and be filled with the breasts of her consolations: that you may milk out, and flow with delights, from the abundance of her glory.

✨ To meditate on today

According to the prophet Isaiah, those who have wept over Jerusalem are invited to rejoice with her, for God comforts and fills her: she becomes like a mother who nourishes her children with consolation. Today, rejoice sincerely in someone else’s joy (a success, a piece of good news), and tell them so.
