Never have I been consoled by words more tender and sweet. Thine Arms, then, O Jesus, are the lift which must raise me up even unto Heaven. To get there I need not grow; on the contrary, I must remain little, I must become still less. O my God, Thou hast gone beyond my expectation, and I . . . I will sing Thy mercies!

✨ To meditate on today
According to Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, there is no need to become great in order to rise toward God: it is the arms of Jesus that carry us, like a lift, if we remain little and trusting. Today, faced with a task that is beyond you, instead of forcing, simply entrust it to Jesus like a child holding out its arms, then do the part that is within your reach.
