According to The Imitation of Christ, the disciple tells God that He is his joy, his pride, his hope and his refuge when everything goes wrong. Today, at the busiest or hardest moment of your day, stop for the space of one breath and say inwardly: “Thou art my refuge and the joy of my heart.”
