According to Saint Francis de Sales, at the moment a person receives God’s forgiveness in confession, all of heaven (the angels and the saints) rejoices and welcomes the reconciled heart with the tenderness and peace of a friend. Today, take a step towards reconciliation, however small, with someone with whom things have grown cold: a message, a greeting, a word of apology.
