Lesson 168

The Science of Love!

Excerpt

The Science of Love! How sweetly do these words echo in my soul! That science alone do I desire. Having given all my substance for it, like the Spouse in the Canticles, "I think that I have given nothing." After so many graces, may I not sing with the Psalmist that "the Lord is good, that His Mercy endureth for ever"?

✨ To meditate on today

According to Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, the only science worth having is the “science of love”, the one we learn from Jesus; for its sake, giving everything still seems like nothing, and she sings of the Lord’s goodness. Tonight, look back over your day and note a moment when you learned something about love (received or given), then thank the Lord for His goodness.
