Lesson 149

I am the good shepherd; and I know Mine, and Mine know Me.

Excerpt

I am the good shepherd; and I know Mine, and Mine know Me. As the Father knoweth Me, and I know the Father: and I lay down My life for My sheep. And other sheep I have, that are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear My voice, and there shall be one fold and one shepherd.

โœจ To meditate on today

According to the Gospel of John, Jesus presents Himself as the good shepherd who knows each one personally, gives His life for them, and also wants to gather those who are still far away, so that there may be only one flock. Today, call by name someone you pass without really seeing them (a neighbour, a cashier, a colleague) and take a moment to take an interest in them.
