According to the Gospel of John, on the evening of His last meal with His friends, Jesus leaves them His peace, a peace that does not depend on circumstances like the one the world gives, and that allows the heart not to be troubled. Today, each time a worry rises in you, stop for the space of one breath, place your hand on your heart and say: “Thy peace, Lord, not mine.”
