I have given thee that gem, my good friend, the very gem I have bound within thy garment.

According to the Lotus Sutra, a man lives in hardship without knowing that a generous friend has tied a priceless jewel into his garment; in the same way, each of us already carries a wealth we are unaware of. Today, before thinking of what you lack, look for a quality, a gift or a friendship you already have, and thank the person who gave it to you.
