Lesson 124

That great rain-cloud, big with water, is wreathed with flashes of lightning and rouses with its thundering call all creatures.

Excerpt

That great rain-cloud, big with water, is wreathed with flashes of lightning and rouses with its thundering call all creatures. By warding off the sunbeams, it cools the region; and gradually lowering so as to come in reach of hands, it begins pouring down its water all around. And so, flashing on every side, it pours out an abundant mass of water equally, and refreshes this earth.

✨ To meditate on today

According to the Lotus of the True Law, the Buddha’s teaching is like a great rain-cloud that pours out its water equally everywhere and gladdens the whole earth, the small grasses as well as the great trees. Today, be like this rain: offer the same attention and the same kindness to every person you meet, without making any difference between those you like and the others.
