According to The Gospel of Buddha, one who stays alone with a good resolution may weaken and slip back into old habits; this is why the Buddha invites his disciples to support one another. Today, do not keep a good resolution to yourself: confide it to someone you trust, and offer your support to someone who is also trying to change.
