[75] The light has come.
In choosing salvation rather than attack, I merely choose to recognize what is already here. Salvation is a decision made already. Attack and grievances are not there to choose. That is why I always choose between truth and illusion;between what is there and what is not. The light has come. I can but choose the light, for it has no alternative. It has replaced the darkness, and the dark has gone.
These would prove useful forms for specific applications of this idea:
This cannot show me darkness, for the light has come.
The light in you is all that I would see, [name].
I would see in this only what is there.
[76] I am under no laws but God's.
Here is the perfect statement of my freedom. I am under no laws but God's. I am constantly tempted to make up other laws and give them power over me. I suffer only because of my belief in them. They have no real effect on me at all. I am perfectly free of the effects of all laws save God's. And His are the laws of freedom.
For specific forms in applying this idea, these would be useful:
My perception of this shows me I believe in laws which do not exist.
I see only the laws of God at work in this.
Let me allow God's laws to work in this, and not my own.
✨ Summary & practice
This review celebrates the coming of the light (75) and your liberation from all false laws (76). Together, these two lessons are the great “yes” after the great “no” of Lessons 71–74. The light has already come, it is not coming, it is here. And you are subject to no human law that could limit you. Review 88 is a moment of celebration and affirmation. The darkness is gone, the false laws are abolished.
“The light has come” (75) means your healing is accomplished. You do not have to provoke it, earn it, or achieve it, it is already here. The choice you make is not between light and darkness (darkness has passed), but between truth and illusion. And “I am not subject to any laws but God’s” (76) completes this liberation: all the laws you believed governed you (medicine, economy, relationships) have no real power over you. The only law that matters is God’s, which is freedom.
We are nearing the end of the first major review. Reviews 81–87 have covered Lessons 61–76. Reviews 89–90 will conclude with Lessons 77–80 (miracles and the resolution of problems). After tomorrow, you will enter the third part of this second block, Lessons 91–110, with a mind strengthened and solidified by this intensive review.
Practice with these concrete forms: “This cannot show me darkness, for the light has come. The light in you is all I would see.” And: “My perception of this shows me that I believe in laws that do not exist. I see only the laws of God at work in this.” Today, when a fear about money, health, or social approval arises, remember: that law is not real. The only law is God’s.
The light has come.
