The fundamental teaching is that your identity is not separate from Christ’s. You are not an individual person who has Christ within. You are Christ, expressed in time and space. There are not two beings in you; there is only one Self. And this Self is one with God. This unity is your certainty, your peace, your true identity. Nothing can threaten or diminish it, for it is eternal.

This lesson is the highest affirmation of your spiritual identity. Previous lessons have gradually led you to this realization: you are Christ, you are the Son of God, you are one with God. Here, you stand in this truth without hesitation. Time has no hold on you. God’s law is your only law. You are at home, even as you walk in this world. Christ and you are one.

To live this lesson, take several moments today to pause and affirm: 'Christ and I are one. I am the Son of God. I am at peace.' Feel the truth of this affirmation in your whole being. Do not repeat it mechanically; let it sink into your heart. You will feel a growing certainty, a peace settling in. The world’s problems become small when you stand thus with Christ, in the unity of God.
