Father, I want what goes against my will, and do not want what is my will to have. Straighten my mind, my Father. It is sick. But You have offered freedom, and I choose to claim Your gift today. And so I give all judgement to the One You gave to me to judge for me. He sees what I behold, and yet He knows the truth. He looks on pain, and yet He understands it is not real, and in His understanding it is healed. He gives the miracles my dreams would hide from my awareness. Let Him judge today. I do not know my will, but He is sure it is Your Own. And He will speak for me, and call Your miracle to come to me.
Listen today. Be very still, and hear the gentle Voice for God assuring you that He has judged you as the Son He loves.
Anger comes from judgment, give your judgment to God today.
Anger comes from judgment. Judgment is the weapon you use against yourself to keep the miracle away. You want what opposes your true will, and your mind is sick. But God has offered freedom, and today you choose to claim His gift by giving all judgment to the One He sent to you. He sees what you behold but knows the truth. He looks on pain but understands it is not real.
The liberating truth is that anger is always a judgment on yourself disguised as judgment on others. Every time you are angry at someone, it is yourself you are judging. You project onto others the guilt you refuse to see in yourself. The solution is not to suppress anger, but to recognize the judgment behind it and give it to the Holy Spirit. He sees with God’s vision: He sees only innocence.
This lesson confronts the most destructive emotion, anger. Previous lessons addressed judgment, fear, and suffering. Here, you see anger as a specific form of judgment. By giving all judgment to the Holy Spirit, you free yourself not only from the sadness of judgment but also from the burn of anger. The Holy Spirit does not judge as you do. He sees the truth beyond appearances. By letting Him judge, you find peace.
To practice this today, each time anger rises in you, do not repress or express it. Pause a moment and say: 'I give this judgment to the Holy Spirit. Let Him see what is true.' Then breathe deeply and let the anger dissolve. You will find that instead of anger, there is understanding, peace. Anger was only a signal that you were judging. By ceasing to judge, anger has no reason to remain.
Anger is only a call for love disguised as judgment. Give your judgment to God, and anger will turn into peace.
