Lesson 201

Review (181)

I am not a body.

I am free.

For I am still as God created me.

[181] I trust my brothers, who are one with me.

No-one but is my brother. I am blessed with oneness with the universe and God, my Father, One Creator of the whole that is my Self, forever One with me.

I am not a body.

I am free.

For I am still as God created me.

✨ Summary & practice

The trust that arises from unity: you are not alone, you have never been alone

The review you begin today is especially important. You are entering the final phase of the course, where each lesson is repeated with the powerful affirmation: "I am not a body. I am free. For I am still as God created me." This review is not mere repetition, it is consolidation. Each day, you lay more firmly the foundation of your true identity. Repetition is the means by which truth takes root so deeply within you that nothing can shake it.

Lesson 181, which you are reviewing today, proclaims that you trust your brothers, because they are one with you. There is not one person, not a single being on this earth, who is not your brother or sister. You are endowed with unity with the universe and with God your Father, the only Creator of all that is your true Self. Trust is not earned; it is recognized. It is the natural consequence of perceiving that we are all one in the love of God.

The review is important here because it allows you to integrate this truth at a deeper level than mere intellectual understanding. By repeating the affirmation that you are not a body, you allow your mind to disengage from identification with the physical. Each repetition breaks down the walls of separation. Trust in your brothers becomes possible only when you see beyond bodily appearances and recognize the spiritual unity that connects you all.

In practice today, each time you meet someone, silently repeat: "You are my brother, we are one." Observe what happens in your chest as you say this. If a relationship seems difficult, that is precisely where you most need to practice this trust. Look beyond the body, beyond behaviors, to the light your brother shares with you.

The trust you give to your brothers reveals to you the truth of who you are. Remember this today.
