We continue our path of review. Each day is an opportunity to let the lessons sink more deeply. Today, we review the one love of God (127) and the world that contains nothing you want (128). The guiding thought reminds you: your mind holds only what you think with God. Everything else is not truly thought, it is merely mental noise.
There is only one love, and that is God’s (127). Love is one, without parts, without degrees, without judgment. It is always the same in every circumstance. The world you see contains nothing you truly desire (128). Every thing you value binds you to the world like a chain. By recognizing the one love that is God and letting go of what has no value, you find freedom and lasting peace. The review allows you to see the link between these two ideas.
These lessons are two sides of the same coin: if only God’s love is real, then the world you see cannot contain what you truly want. Lessons 129 (a better world beyond) and 130 (only one world possible) follow naturally. Reviews are important because they transform isolated ideas into a coherent vision. This is how the Course becomes part of you.
Practice:
Today, whenever you encounter something you desire or fear, ask yourself: « Does this come from the one love of God, or from the illusion of the world? » If it comes from the world, say to yourself: « This contains nothing I truly want. » Observe how this simple question calms your inner agitation.
