Tulsidas, Ramayana, Kishkindhâ-kând, Dohâ 1

How is it possible not to reverence K&si, the home of Sambhn and Bhav&ni, knowing it to be the earthly birthplace of salvation, a treasury of knowledge and the destroyer of sin. Dull indeed of soul is the man who worships not Him, who, when all the hosts of heaven were in distress, drank up the deadly poison; who is so merciful as Sankara?
Dull indeed is the man, who worships not Sankara, the lord of Gauri, the foe of Tripura, the giver of salvation, the all-merciful, the remover of sorrow, and the redeemer of the suppliant; who delights in the praises of Raghupati, and is always devoted to Rama's feet.
