Tukaram, Poem 3717

To fill his belly, he tells tales about worldly
characters; he forgets Hari, who sent him
into the world. Though he gets his stomach filled
with food, he forgets the Purifier of the Sinful.
“Who am I? Whence did I come?” he forgets
all about this. He goes on praising the achieve-
ments of men; he is a chatterer, says Tuka.
