Tukaram, Poem 3614

To give up all respect for the saints is a trick of the wicked; a drunken man raves after this thing or that. You do not look like drunken men; why do you say what is not right? When a man is led astray by crazy arguments, you cannot control him; a mongrel ass, without fail, is an obstinate brute. Tuka says, A man whose father cannot be ascertained—such is the man who sees uncleanness in the saints.
