Tukaram, Poem 3536

The stones were magic stones, the ground was
of gold, he was connected by lineage with
the Upholder of the World. His town was of
gold surrounded by the sea; he had a great host
of demons. Ten times eight thousand were his
wives; the chief of his queens was Mandodari.
His sons and grandsons who can count? The
chief of his sons prevailed over Indra. Fourteen
ages he lived; his brother was Kumbhakarna.
Though all the gods were his slaves, says Tuka, he
took away with him not a cowri when he
perished.
